Printing the winter series
Why the new landscape prints are on cotton rag paper, and how the edition sizes were chosen.
The winter landscapes are printed on a matte cotton rag paper. Snow on glossy paper looks grey under a gallery light; on rag it stays white and the shadows keep their detail.
Each photograph comes in three sizes, in editions of 25. That keeps every print signed and numbered by hand, and means I can check each one before it ships.
